I know you’re running But what from? The great bird may be coming Or he’ll fly on I know you’re running But what from? If that bird is coming Then he was coming all along All along

A Dialogue 04:02
Hey higher power Did you make the call? It seems like years now To you, no time at all When you play with gods’ hands Things tend to break I saw a city And the mess you made So in this ancient light We convene the ancient rite To bring you forth And hear you speak Hey mortal soldier Hey man of clay You think you can conceive of The games we play? I saw a city Felled by human hands These clouded nobles Don’t always lead the dance So in my ancient light The Nine shall sing for us tonight And you will know I’m lord of all I am the storm

Happiness 03:09
Happiness False grail trails I read about that in ‘94 I was a kid then Like you’re a kid now With a heart and a wolf and money behind the door Oh, happiness It’s a bad sign Sold by character limit crooks with books online I saw happiness Just dust on the grail trail We got over that in ‘94 We were kids then There must be kids now With hearts like wolves and money behind the door Oh, happiness It’s a strange town Full of bodies and thoughts, but there’s never anyone around Make me wiser Let me in If you want to make me wiser you must let me in Oh, to make me wiser, let me in

A vision between stones Sweet portal all aglow You know one day we’ll come together Bring the band whate’er the weather Hit a chord and watch them go A sound upon the moor Soft voices carried forth You know one day we’ll sing together Of frozen earth and flowered heather The bells will ring and we will go Songs rise up between the stones

Boy, boy this heaven’s on fire Here comes the song of my tumbledown choir Singing, ‘Good sailors drink the blood and eat the host’ And the lights in the sky are Martin Pale’s ghost Kick the weasel and throw him in the brig I saw the coming of the bird; I saw the killing of the pig And that unholy king with his wings unfurled Could stop a man’s heart, could speak truth to the world Boy, boy this heaven’s on fire Here comes the song of my tumbledown choir Singing, ‘Good sailors drink the blood and eat the host’ And the lights in the sky are Martin Pale’s ghost Boy, boy this heaven’s on fire Here comes the song of my drunken old choir Singing, ‘Good sailors drink the blood and eat the host’ And the lights in the sky are Martin Pale’s ghost Young Johnny I've been keeping on a leash But he knows what's going on – he’s been talking to the priest And the hold’s humming to that graveyard sound You should never raise up what you cannot put down Boy, boy this heaven’s on fire Here comes the song of my tumbledown choir Singing, ‘Good sailors drink the blood and eat the host’ And the lights in the sky are Martin Pale’s ghost Boy, boy this land’s on fire Here comes the sound of my drunken old choir Singing, ‘Good sailors drink the blood and eat the host’ And the lights in the sky are Martin Pale’s ghost

Vague Summer 03:16
Too much shimmer on that sea Will push me over the edge And there are some who never made it back There are some who never made it back Whatever I said was a dream A dream in a vague summer But we still captured the drums and we drove to the track You captured my heart when we drove down that track Water reflects these thoughts And they are empty and still I reduce my self But I still need to connect myself To jam kids out there and lost Lost in a vague summer When we were younger than we looked, older than our years Tube amps driving and a bucket of beers Look back, baby I know time it goes slow But you never know, maybe We can loop it into The new summer we’ve needed lately

Oh, the King is in the water, can you pull? I see Saturn low, feel rocks scraping my hull And my King is blue, a heavy-lidded son Make a way through water, his body will come We set his heart within these ancestral walls The walls he built cast dreams upon us all Survey this stage from high, to music with no end Tell the man he could not love he will see him again Oh, the King is in the water, can you pull? I see Saturn low, feel rocks scraping my hull And if a cross stands in that water can you tell? I buried the Moon King in the June of the chapel bell I buried my Moon King in the June of the chapel bell

Grimcross 09:33
Wise Rose far from home Out on the road alone Wise Rose standing stone Relocating your bones To a town that welcomes careful speech The river is wide and the bridge is weak I heard you’re staying at Grimcross There’s work to do but it comes at a cost Good Rose staying out of sight Ploughing through day and night Entering their code Building energy unknown There’s a dog outside in the square Whenever you’re at your desk he’s waiting there Crouched beneath the stone they took When they built the station, when they opened it up There’s a circle of solid light It came to you in a dream last night Rising out of the ground Past the stones, past the square, past the barrow mound Rose woke at Grimcross The light was gone, it was three o’clock And there was something moving out there Almost blue in the black, the dog from the square She followed him to the mound Where the circle smouldered on the ground She saw what she had composed The numbers balance and unfold How did I find myself here? A message at work, an opportunity appeared A research station, working on theory Numbers and patterns and nobody near me And what was the name of the girl? Some kind of jewel or pearl She said I could live inside The town’s alright, the money’s fine The data comes to you Problems to solve, she laughed, and a room with a view Just keep the work to yourself There’s folk down there who don’t know what’s good for them The kids told me the stones they move Sometimes so little, so slow, it’s hard to prove But it’s true there’s a noise I can’t place A low roar like a god struggling awake Working on, refining calculations Sending them back before leaving the station To see the subtle shift in the stones Adjusting their position with a whirring tone And it was one grey summer’s day That the message on the screen it came ‘Alignment Complete – Abandon Station’ Rose ran out to where the dog was waiting And the circle began to grow Light slipping between the stones And the world it began to shake And the world it began to shake A light that engulfed it all A light that shot through to her core And every living thing in the town Was watching, raised hands upon the barrow mound Over and over, the last communication It all began at Grimcross Station

Up here at night You can have the whole hill Streetlights haze the distance And there’s soil beneath my feet Here A peregrine man Tries on a wilder county And forgets about his home
